Savvi Learning - Local Installation

The Savvi Learning Environment (SLE) can be installed in your organization in one of two modes:

  1. As a local system that resides on your hardware on your physical network.
  2. As an Internet-based application that Savvi hosts for you in its data center, and that is accessed securely via SSL encryption.

If you select to host the SLE on your own network, our team of service professionals will work directly with you to plan and execute the system installation.

How it works

  • The Savvi installation team meets with key stakeholders to gather requirements for how the system will be deployed and used in your organization.
  • Based on this discovery process, Savvi recommends an architecture for how the system should be physically deployed and logically configured.
  • Server hardware can be provided from your existing technology standards and inventory, or it can be provided for you at cost through our partnership with Dell.
  • Once the server hardware is in place, the Savvi team will work with your IT staff to install and configure the proper operating system, infrastructure software and the SLE itself.
  • As the Savvi team goes through the installation and configuration process, it works side-by-side with your administrators and trains them in the proper management of the overall system.

Results

  • At the end of the installation process, you will have a fully operational Savvi Learning Environment in your environment ready for use by instructors and students.
  • Implementing the SLE on your own network provides you with the maximum flexibility in how the system is configured and managed.
  • You can realize the architecture in the fashion that best suites your organization, and you can integrate the environment with other enterprise systems on your network.
