Simmyx™
Simmyx is a "black box" simulation engine. It allows students to accelerate and deepen learning by applying principles and methods to a virtually endless range of problem scenarios that mimic real-world settings - including business and manufacturing processes, product designs, transactional flows, service environments or any user-defined setup.
Because Simmyx runs as a web application, its benefits are available at any time, from any location connected to the internet. The Simmyx Learning Simulator comes standard with all Savvi Sigma courses.
Features
- Include up to eight independent input variables.
- Inputs can be set to either constant value, continuous value random variable or discrete value random variable.
- Choose from normal, uniform, weibull and triangular continuous variable distributions.
- Select from two-, three-, four-, or five-value discrete variable distributions.
- Assign simulations to mimic built-in scenario settings or, alternatively, create custom scenarios with virtually any degree of complexity via mathematical transfer functions.
- Run simulations in either observational "Monte Carlo" mode or in "Designed Experiment" mode.
- Review simulation outputs as graphical, run plots and histograms.
- Summarize simulation outputs with tabulated capability, defect rate or yield metrics.
- Save simulator settings for later training or analysis, and export or save simulation results for use in other software applications.
Benefits
- Simmyx's web architecture allows it to be integrated directly into online training environments, leading to much less expensive and much more efficient training options.
- Applying taught principles at an early stage in a simulated environment accelerates learning and deepens the level of knowledge obtained compared to traditional training.
- Simmyx™ allows the accurate, customized recreation of your specific processes and scenarios within the training environment. Trainees receive tailored instruction and practice relative to your critical scenarios.
- Simmyx™ extends beyond the training context to provide an advanced analysis platform for ongoing investigation, prediction, and improvement of critical processes and scenarios.
