- Document & Tools Manager™ enables companies to centralize project knowledge and have it easily accessible across the greater enterprise. There are three levels of document management in the Instantis® Six Sigma PLM.
- Within the Document &Tools Manager™, project team members are able to access templates affiliated with specific tasks and deliverables in the project roadmap, reducing time wasted searching for correct templates and standardizing work across projects.
- Within the Document & Tools Manager™, project team members are able to easily upload various project-specific documents to the system for review by others and to maintain documentation for sharing best practices.
- The Documents & Tools Manager™ can include any type of document having a valid file extension (.doc, .xls, .ppt, etc.) that can be viewed on a local PC. (The associated PC application must be installed on the local PC to enable the user to view the document).
- Roles and permissions within Instantis® enable project- or role-based access to the various modules of the PLM system. Users are able to view information, add and/or update various types of data in the system based on their assigned permissions.
- Users can have multiple permissions based on the individual project type. This set of permissions is fully configurable and customizable.
- Registered users access the Instantis® Six Sigma PLM System via their own unique Login ID and Password through a web login screen. The Login ID and Password are authenticated from either LDAP, Active Directory, or internally in the system for complete security.
